that God, our
Creator, has given us His Word--the Bible as a blueprint for life.
that
God through His Son, Jesus, has made us a holy (separate) people-- "in the
world but not of the world."
that God from the
beginning has designed the family unit to protect us from harm and to meet our basic needs
of love and nourishment.
that God has commanded
us to multiply and produce a Godly heritage.
that
God has given us a stewardship, our children; and, we have the right and the
responsibility to "train up a child in the way he should go".
that
God has provided us with the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom, strength, perseverance, and
love to accomplish the task of "making disciples" of our children.
that God through the
Holy Spirit empowers us to discern our children's physical, emotional, spiritual, and
educational needs.
that God has given us the promise that
children are a blessing from the Lord.
